Classroom Expectations As in any other classroom, there are high expectations to meet in the Art Room! As an art teacher, it is my goal to keep students safe, engaged, motivated, and creative throughout their art journey. As a student, it is their goal to meet these expectations so that the learning experience can be favorable and beneficial to everyone.
Here are some of my classroom expectations so that our art lessons run as smoothly as possible: 1. Students are to remain focused on their art projects throughout the class period. 2. Students are to complete a work of art to the best of their ability by the end of the class period. 3. Students are to work collaboratively and effectively with other students. 4. Students are to raise their hand if they have any questions, comments, or concerns. 5. Students are to be out of their seats only when they are allowed to do so. 6. Students are to keep their hands to themselves while in the art room. 7. Students are to demonstrate respect towards one another at all times. 8. Students are to clean up after themselves. 9. Students can talk among themselves, but are to keep a noise level at a minimum. 10. Students are to demonstrate an openness and willingness to learn new art concepts, ideas, terminology, historical events, and other pertinent matters relevant to art. Guidelines and procedures in my class? In the event that your child needs extra support with following procedures and guidelines, I will be sending home a parent communication log, which will help us stay connected in regards to the issue that your child is experiencing. You can see what this log looks like below. With your help, we can both collaborate and help your child set path towards a bright future, and it all starts with both of us working together!
